We'll Tell You What We Want, What We Really Really Want!

During November and December the Complete Cruise Solution multiple team ran an incentive for Thomson and Thomas Cook, anyone who booked an Ocean Village cruise got entered into a draw to attend a Spice Girls concert with food, drink and a hotel in London thrown in!

Two winners from Thomson and Thomas Cook brought a friend along to the night, the winners were:

Thomas Cook: Sarah Hurford from Bridgewater and Kerry James from Gosport
Thomson: Laura Cleaver from Rugby and Sharon Hughes from Formby

We all met in the afternoon and got to know each other over a few drinks and a meal. We then jumped in a taxi and went straight to our seats just in time to see the Spice Girls extravaganza begin! A fantastic evening was had by all and we will definitely be looking to run another similar incentive in the future....

Keep an eye out for our next incentive in February "Mult's give you extra..."

LADY LIBERTY STANDS TALL OVER CUNARD ROYAL RENDEZVOUS

New York – 13 January, 2008 – New York's iconic Statue of Liberty stood tall as a fitting backdrop for a Royal Rendezvous of Cunard Line's three luxury liners -Queen Mary 2, QE2 and the new Queen Victoria, which made her maiden call to New York today. Thousands of maritime buffs lined the shores to see the regal fleet gather for the first and only time in New York.

During a celebration that began with a whistle salute by each liner, the nautical royalty made a majestic procession through New York harbor illuminated by a fireworks-filled sky as they departed on their respective voyages. It is the first time that three Cunard Queens have been in service simultaneously in the company's 168-year history. Queen Victoria was launched on December 10, 2007, by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall in Southampton. Following her celebratory maiden call to New York, she embarks on her Maiden World Cruise, a 105-day journey stopping in 37 ports in 23 countries, while Cunard's grand dame QE2 departs on her 26th and final World Cruise.

Gill's Christmas Party

Lauren Gumus & Lorraine Morgan from the South West Region attended the Gill's Annual Christmas party on Tuesday 18th December. The Christmas Party took place at the Tenth Restaurant, Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington. The event was attended by other cruise lines such as NCL, Royal Caribbean, Fred Olsen and MSC, and also by the Daily Mail and Telegraph and TIS.

It was a great opportunity for members of the South West team to network in a social environment with our competitors and meet people that we wouldnt normally at other events.

The day was a huge success and gave Lorraine and I an opportunity to say a huge thank you to Gill's Cruise Centre for all their hard work and support over the last 50 years.

We presented Alistair Gill and Mr & Mrs Gill with a beautiful framed picture of Queen Mary 2 sailing out of Sydney and also a commemorative coin from Queen Mary 2's maiden world cruise. The gifts were well received and appreciated by the Gill family.
